Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration

Encountering Jesus in the Eucharist

Eucharistic Adoration is a time of prayer and love before Jesus, truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. Catholics believe that the Eucharist is not only a symbol, but Jesus Himself — Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. In Adoration, we come before the Lord just as we are: with our joys, worries, gratitude, and hopes. We sit with Him, speak to Him, and listen in silence to His voice. As Jesus says: “I am with you always.” (Matthew 28:20). Saint Carlo Acutis, who deeply loved the Eucharist, once said: “The Eucharist is my highway to Heaven.”

The Gift of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration means that Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is adored continuously — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Day and night, someone is always present praying before the Lord. It is a beautiful response of love to Jesus, who waits for us patiently in the Eucharist. Through perpetual Adoration, our parish becomes a place of constant prayer, peace, and grace. “The closer we come to the Eucharist, the closer we come to Jesus.” — Saint Carlo Acutis

Spending a Holy Hour with Jesus

A Holy Hour is one hour spent with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. The tradition comes from Jesus’ words in the Garden of Gethsemane: “Could you not watch with me one hour?” (Matthew 26:40). A Holy Hour is not about doing many things perfectly. It is about being with Someone who loves you deeply. In the silence of Adoration, Jesus comforts, heals, strengthens, and speaks to the heart. Spending time with Him helps us grow in faith, peace, and trust. As St. John Vianney said: “He is there.”

Ways to Pray During Adoration

There is no “right way” to spend a Holy Hour. Simply come and be with Jesus. You may:

– pray quietly,

– read Scripture,

– pray the Rosary,

– speak to Jesus from your heart,

– give thanks,

– or rest silently in His presence.

Sometimes the most beautiful prayer is simply to sit before Him in love. “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

The Grace of One Hour with Jesus

In a busy and noisy world, Jesus invites us to pause and remain with Him. An hour before the Blessed Sacrament can bring peace, clarity, healing, and renewal to the soul. Just as friendships grow by spending time together, our relationship with Jesus deepens when we stay close to Him in the Eucharist.

Jesus says: “Come to me, all who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

One hour with Jesus can change a life.
